The Course at High Hampton
“We’re blessed to have so much environmental and natural beauty that it gives us the opportunity to have tremendous variety. The Course at High Hampton will be one of those golf courses that you say, ‘gosh, I can’t wait to go play it again.’”
– Tom Fazio
Lined by towering pines, hemlocks and mountain laurel, High Hampton’s course was originally designed by eminent golf course architect, George W. Cobb, ASGCA. It has forever been a wonderful family course where residents and guests can play a fun round while enjoying the scenic mountain views.
The course at High Hampton, is currently being redesigned by Tom Fazio and his talented team. The design re-routes the course and is just under 7,000 yards of play from the back tees.
Five sets of tees keep the course fun and playable for a family outing, yet challenging for even the most experienced golfers. Bent grass tee boxes offer spectacular views of Rock Mountain, Chimney Top and Whiteside. Bent grass fairways meander along natural streams, dense woods and open vistas. Green complexes are designed with ample bunkering to fend off even the best approach shots. The undulating greens are designed to challenge all levels of golfers.
Most spectacular is the 18th hole. A slight dog-leg left as it hugs Hampton Lake with an approach shot that perfectly frames the Inn and mountains beyond. Truly a hole as special as High Hampton itself.
Experience High Hampton
The best way to experience High Hampton is to visit, just as generations of families have. Although the Inn is closed for renovations, we are available to work with you to build a one-of-a-kind mountain experience in 2019 through our home rental program.
